Route Timeline & Rotation Plan
Arrive at Islamabad International Airport, meet our logistical team at the arrivals hall, and transfer to your hotel. The afternoon is dedicated to rest and recovery, with free time to wander the avenues of the capital.
Embark on the northern highway route leading into the lush Kaghan corridor. Wind through green alpine foothills and river towns before arriving in Naran for a restful overnight stay.
Dedicate the day to discovering the highland waters of Kaghan Valley, taking excursions to mirror-like Lulusar Lake and the famed alpine shores of Lake Saiful Malook beneath the peaks.
Depart Naran and cross the elevated crest of Babusar Top with panoramas over surrounding massifs, then drop down into Gilgit-Baltistan along the Karakoram Highway to Gilgit.
Advance deeper into the highlands past Nagar Valley with open sightlines of Rakaposhi, climbing to Karimabad in the Hunza basin to experience stone villages and terraced orchards.
Tour the ancient timber-and-stone strongholds of Baltit and Altit Forts to learn about local mountain history, followed by an evening trip to Duiker for a sunset perspective across the valley.
Drive through the rock tunnels skirting turquoise Attabad Lake, stop at peaceful Borith Lake, and continue toward Passu to admire the cathedral-like Passu Cones and glacier tongues.
Ascend by road to the summit of Khunjerab Pass (4,733m), the highest paved border crossing globally, viewing the Pakistan-China monument before returning down to Sost for the night.
Begin traveling south from Sost back through the Hunza Valley toward Gilgit, catching a fresh angle of the jagged ridgelines lining the highway.
Trace the deep rock canyon of the Indus River down the Karakoram Highway, observing the dramatic engineering of the corridor before checking into your hotel in Besham.
Complete the southern highway drive toward Islamabad, pausing to explore the ancient Gandhara archaeological ruins and museum at Taxila before an evening stay in the capital.
Explore landmark architectural sites in Islamabad including Faisal Mosque during the morning, followed by an airport transfer for scheduled outbound international flights. End of services.
