Overview & Mountain Character
“Amin Brakk is an imposing granite monolith in Nangma Valley, delivering severe big-wall rock climbing alongside dramatic Karakoram alpine terrain.”
The Amin Brakk mountaineering venture merges world-class big-wall technical rock pitches with rigorous high-elevation alpine craft. Route Timeline & Rotation Plan
Arrive at Islamabad International Airport, where our expedition representative greets you and coordinates private transfers to your lodging. The remainder of the day is set aside for resting, equipment review, and initial acclimatization.
Transfer to the airport for the scenic domestic flight to Skardu. If cloud cover grounds flights, travel overland along the Karakoram Highway toward Chilas for an overnight stay.
Air travelers spend this free day in Skardu organizing climbing logistics and exploring local sights. Overland participants complete the second leg through the Indus River gorge from Chilas to Skardu.
Set out from Skardu by road across the rugged Baltistan terrain to Kanday village. Pitch the first expedition camp and coordinate with our mountain porter crew.
Start foot travel ascending toward the alpine pastures of Mingulu Brok. The trail showcases initial views of towering granite spires while supporting steady altitude adjustment.
Hike directly to the foot of Amin Brakk, establishing main operations right beneath the immense vertical rock wall for the upcoming climbing rotations.
Undertake an acclimatization side excursion deeper into the upper basin toward K6 and K7 base camps, taking in world-class vistas of neighboring big-wall spires.
A dedicated three-week operational block for technical climbing. Tasks encompass fixing ropes, hauling haul-bags, establishing portaledge bivouacs, and executing final summit rotations with comprehensive base camp logistics.
Dismantle high camps, clear all gear from the wall, and retrace footsteps down across the high pastures to Kanday village to finish the foot portion.
Board vehicles in Kanday for the return road trip to Skardu. Settle into the hotel for hot showers, recovery, and an evening celebration meal.
Board the domestic return flight to Islamabad. In the event of flight cancellations, commence the two-day highway transit, stopping overnight in Chilas.
Overland travelers make an early departure from Chilas along the Karakoram corridor, arriving back in Islamabad by late afternoon.
Following morning breakfast, transfer to Islamabad International Airport for scheduled homeward flights, concluding all expedition services. End of services.
